Lottie Update #8: Home at Last?

Well, she’s been with us for a week and a half and is certainly settling in!  She wasn’t very pleased the first time she was left home alone in the house while we were at work.  She obviously spent a lot of time looking out the front windows for us (and scratching the wooden blinds to pieces!).  However she’s so excited when we get home and is a sweet young lady.  And when she comes into my office, she’s very relaxed and chill – although she barks as people enter the office (I fake a bad cough – I don’t think anyone notices).

Last night we were at Cornelian Bay for our usual Monday evening visit and wine drinking session.  And decided (i.e. Scott encouraged me) to let her off the lead for the first time.  She was fine – enjoyed sniffing around when there were not any other dogs, sniffed at some dogs as they arrived, then decided to join Scott on the bench when some Rottie’s came!  There’s lots of photos of the evening up on Flickr (of course!).

She’s even beginning to learn to play with things!  She likes to take her teddy outside and has started playing with her new ball.
