Day 1: The Schnauzer has Landed!

Scott with Erik, David and Maria near the golden GateAfter a seemingly endless number of flights (well, at least 3), we arrived in San Francisco. We were greeted at the airport by the entire clan: Erik Bro, Maria, David, Mum, & Dad. We were immediately whisked off for a tour of San Francisco so that Scott could feel like he had arrived.

David knew some fantastic overlooks near the Golden Gate Bridge, so we headed off there for a little leg stretch.

Snuva’s first cache find for the trip was at Sounds of the Bay – and intriguing little breakwater that has a little rest area near the end that seems to have been constructed with recycles parts of granite masonry.

We were driven around to see sights such as Coit Tower, then had a late lunch/ early dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf. After this we scored 2 more caches, observed the sea lions at Pier 39, scored another cache, and then we were off to Ghirdelli Square for a vary decidant dessert (David is an expert in this area!) We arrived home at Disa’s parents’ place at arround 11pm, and now here I am just after midnight, struggling with a Macintosh, but drinking some pretty spectacular Kirigin Cellars wine. It’s REALLY time for bed now, but things aren’t bad!
