Changes Are Afoot. . .

. . .or may I coin the word ‘apaw’? The software behind Snuva’s Haunt has recently been upgraded by Horus from WordPress v.StoneAge* to v 2.7. It hasn’t been without some hiccups (you’ll notice some ‘interesting characters’ in pre-upgrade posts – plus I was getting horrible error messages in the background). Hopefully the worst problems have been resolved, although I’m still to conquer the annoying symbols in older posts.

Part of the reason for the upgrade is that Horus, who has been incredibly generous in hosting my blog, paying for the tasgeocaching.com domain main, and handling all the geek bits ever since Snuva’s Haunt was launched, will be pushing me out of the nest.  This upgrade made it easier for me to test out a few other hosting options as well as add some extra bits that make some jobs a lot easier.  We’re still working out all the details, but I trust things will go as smoothly as Horus’s experience and my ineptness will make it possible.  He really deserves wild applause.  He’s been very generous with the hosting and help for not just me but a few other Tasmanian geocachers who have tasgeocaching.com sites.  However the move will also remove the niggling guilt I feel for having a site with no effort on my part.  It will do me good!

Note: WordPress v.StoneAge seemed very swish indeed when Horus last upgraded me and was never ‘bad’!
