4th Lottieversary

Like the last couple years, the Lottiversary took place on a weekday.  However this year I’m on maternity leave so was home with her – hooray!

In many ways these last few months have answered all Lottie’s dreams – which pretty much revolve around having me at home with her all the time.  But with this joy has come a major challenge, i.e. adjusting to life with the new puppy in the household, i.e. Eskil.  I really have to commend her for doing it so well and with such Lottiesque grace.  She occasionally becomes jealous at all the attention he gets – and being so young he gets so much as he’s totally dependant.  But her jealousy is never aggressive; it shows itself by her finding a way to get between us and requesting some love.  Sometimes she even uses her paw to put our hands on her tummy for a pat!

Lottie Getting in on the Love

We’ve done our best to make certain Lottie realises she’s still part of the family.  For example she is often invited into our bed for pats; it seemed only fair back when we were getting up in the middle of the night to attend to Eskil and has continued.  Plus she still has her own armchair!

Lottie Says She's Comfy

We celebrated the Lottieversary with some of her favourite things, a bounce at Cornelian Bay and sausages for dinner.

I suspect by the next Lottieversary she and Eskil will have become ‘partners in crime’; things are looking good for big sis Lottie!
