The day wasn’t a great one for me. I almost didn’t post this day, but I have photos so why not, I guess. 12 of 12 captures random days, some that are just like any other day (which may be boring now but in later years can be interesting) and some that are special because you did something great or some momentous event happened. I still love the idea, and thank Chad Darnell for coming up with it (although it took me a long time to find out it was him who started it!), but sometimes highlights how your life isn’t going in the direction you wanted or hoped.
Last year’s 12 of 12 for October may have seemed mundane, however it was special for my husband and I. The phone call let us know the result of the blood test from first thing that morning: I was pregnant with Blobby. A year on instead of now having a nearly 4-month-old, he’s been dead for months. And I had the joy of giving myself yet another IVF-related injection this evening. And the mega event published last year? I missed it because of IVF too. These milestones seem to do nothing but show me how my life is escaping from me and passing my over.
