One of the lovely things about our trip has been seeing how Eskil reacts. He’s really been quite adaptable despite most of the trip really ignoring anything he’d like to do. It was fun watching him feeling at home in Paris so quickly. It didn’t take long before he knew exactly where to run to get to our stairway (the street entrance lead to several buildings), etc.
Today we hit the streets early to get to le Louvre for opening time. It looks like the pope was out and about as well?
We spent several hours exploring.
All the dogs I see in museums remind me of dog spotting at the Louvre almost 20 years ago!
We took a break in the cafe, and Eskil scored some macaron!
They energised him to dance! (Well, to be honest, he was dancing before.)
Time to check out another wing!
When we were museumed out, we did a little shopping in the Carrousel du Louvre – then lunch in the Tuileries and a playground for Eskil.
After the playground, we walked along the Seine to the Tour Eiffel.
We decided to wait in the massive queue to go up the Tour Eiffel as it was always going to be a massive queue. I had needed to go to the loo since we were at the Carrousel du Louvre, so headed off to find a loo. I found the main toilets were closed, so tried an automated one. The automated toilets take so long, that I just gave up. There’s one good side to sweating constantly. I wound up waiting until we got back to the flat!
Eskil liked watching the ‘yellow digga’.
We headed back home via the bus 69.
