Euro14 Day 21: Cotswolds

Temperature: Min 10°C; Max 20°C.
Weather: Partly cloudy with patches of sun and rain (not simultaneously).

It had been a rough few days for Eskil. There had been some fun stops, but there was also a lot of distance covered! We decided attempting to fit in anything further southwest of Bath into our trip would be too much of a push, so we were basing ourselves in Cirencester for a couple nights. So our goals for the day were twofold: 1) to find a fabulous playground for Eskil and 2) to enjoy some Cotswold villages. Some Googling the night before meant we found the perfect place: Broadway! It has a recently redeveloped big, big, big, big playground.

Next we headed off to Chipping Campden. It was lovely even as we approached from above. Eskil napped in the car with MorMor while the rest of us pottered around.

Next we headed for Burford, another lovely village.

We needed to do laundry, so we headed back to our accommodation to pick it up. MorMor stayed behind to rest. The front desk let us know where to go, and we soon had everything (well, except that one forgotten bag) on the way to cleanliness. MorFar stayed behind in the laundry while Scott and Eskil found another play round and while I found picnic supplies for dinner.

Once we were back at the hotel, Eskil was put to bed in our room, then we had our picnic dinner in MorMor and MorFar’s. M&S Food salads and wine were enjoyed by all!
