Temperature: Min 15°C; Max 22°C.
Weather: Overcast with occasional showers.
We started the morning with Eskil having a play in the Jardin Anne-Frank while I found a local geocache.
Then we took the Métro to the Champs-Élysées. I haven’t posted all the millions of Captain / Daddy Feathersword photos I took, but here’s Daddy Feathersword on the Champs-Élysées. We walked up the Champs-Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe.
A shower of rain came while we were at the Arc de Triomphe, and that plus the gigantic queue convinced us to walk around but not bother going up it. Then we headed off to the Opéra Garnier.
We had a quick look inside the Galeries Lafayette.
I wanted to take the boys on some above ground sections of the Métro, however they were closed for repairs! We had to get off at Trocadéro. So we checked out the view of the Tour Eiffel from the Palais de Chaillot. Then we hunted down another playground for Eskil.
We crossed the Seine, under the Tour Eiffel, and to the bus 69 again. We got off near le Pont Neuf. Eskil was getting cranky, so we got him some ice cream and relaxed in the Place Dauphine.
We walked to the underground shopping mall at Les Halles. We had a dreadful coffee then did some excellent shopping.
Afterwards we walked through a real drenching rain shower home.
