Euro14 Day 27: Windsor

Temperature: Min 12°C; Max 25°C.
Weather: Sunny and warm.

Our flat wasn’t far from the Abbey Road Studios, so once we had cleaned and left, we headed there for a cheesy photo on the zebra crossing. I don’t have a copy of the photo, but it was necessary to get as my brother loves The Beatles. I think MorFar was a bit embarrassed that I was making him do this, but we all got into the spirit of it. Everyone there was doing the same thing, so there wasn’t really anything to be embarrassed about. Luckily it wasn’t as busy as I feared it might be.

Next we headed out of London and to Windsor. Mum and Scott went to Windsor Castle; MorFar and I stayed with Eskil at the van. Windsor Castle is not small; they were gone a loooong time. I ran some errands.

After we were all back together, we had afternoon tea at Bella Italia. They gave Eskil a balloon, which he loved, even though he was a tired little grot.
Windsor Castle across the fieldsWe drove around Windsor and Eton, and eventually made our way to our accommodation. The owner was VERY welcoming. These were little Scandinavian cabins with lovely outdoor sitting areas and even a little playground – perfect!
WOW! The White House where we are tonight is FABULOUS.
We walked to a carvery nearby for dinner, which MorFar in particular enjoyed, then headed back to our accommodation. As my parents were leaving in the morning and we would be trading the van for a car, we all had a bit of a repack, then settled Eskil to sleep while we had our last beer, wine, and chinwag in the comfy outside seating area.
